Inktober 2018 – Day 17

Art, Illustration, Ink, Markers

Swollen is the word today.

Makes me think of feet. It’s important to me to use my own photos because of copyright. I can’t believe how many pictures of feet I have. With shoes and without.

I swelled these up a bit and boo boo’d the veins and the nails are a bit long. Just saying.

Sketching angular today. I love being in big cities. I can get lost. I can be whoever I want to be. The sites, sounds and the people. This was in D.C. The energy makes me want to go, go, go.

This stuffed animal is the perfect good night for a father and son. The father can whale on the son as he laughs and protests. Expelling energy for a boy as he heads to bed. The good night whale.

Today’s word is Chicken. I am one.

As a child I was fearless. Mountain climbing led to almost falling off a cliff. I then knew fear.  That was nothing because there was Coney Island.

The Cyclone roller coaster. I can close my eyes and see and feel this whole experience. Open box seats, with a bar at arms length, barely a belt. This roller coaster clicks up ever so slowly. I wave at my Mom and friend. Hey! We get to the top and this sucker goes straight down. I mean, you are free falling face first. Nothing to hold on to but a rickety bar. My Dad and brother are laughing their heads off. Well, good for them. I lost my mind. It was the sixties.

This is the Sandia Peak Tramway at 10,679′. Very High.

Heights don’t work for me now. So be it. I own being a chicken. Proud and loud.

Today’s word is spell.  In reviewing the word this was my thought: Come sit a spell and we can care for each other’s heart.

These two chairs were from a photo I took in Eagle’s Mere, PA. They were out back next to the summer house. I get attracted to something and I never know how the photo I take will come into play. #inktober #inktober2018 @jakeparker @inktober
