We went to the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico one cold January day. Sandhill cranes everywhere. Snow geese flocks so loud and crowded. The light was beautiful. My favorite story there was while my two brothers and I were observing that loud flock of geese. One of the brothers takes out an air horn expecting to scatter the large flock and it was a whisper in comparison to those geese. They were not phased. I think we were all wanting the flock to rise and fly away in fright. What a sight that would have been. All three of us had the best spontaneous laugh.

Hi Lillian, how are you? Your blog post reminded me of the time I wanted to prank my co-worker with a sports horn attached to his computer chair. You know, when he adjusts it and then. But I ended up not doing it and keeping my job intact. 🙂
Your drawing only has few birds, was there more?

This was a different field than where the massive flock of geese were. Not as interesting as a composition. The mountains were a nice backdrop for those trees.

Hi, thank you for the reply Lilian. I like the big tree off to the side. I think it hit the rule of thirds. Yeah I thought the composition was good. 👌
